University of Lausanne

The conference will take place at the University of Lausanne, which is west of the Lausanne’s city center. The University campus is situated on the shore of Lake Geneva with view of the Alps and the lake. It can easily be reached from the city centre by metro or bus.

The main buildings for the conference will be the Amphimax and the Amphipôle. The closest metro station is on line M1 “Unil Sorge” directly behind the conference buildings in the Sorge Quarter (Amphimax and Amphipole). The closest bus stop is on line 30 “Champagne”..

Lausanne

Lausanne is a city in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and it is the capital of the canton of Vaud. The city is situated on the shores of Lake Geneva (French: Lac Léman) with view of the Alps and the Jura mountain range. The population of Lausanne is over 134,000 with the entire agglomeration area having 400,000 inhabitants. It lies in the middle of the Lavaux wine region, which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
