Abstract:

The purpose of this paper it to give a contactors’ eye view of the kind of quality issues that arise out of conducting a very high profile longitudinal study over many years. Many of the quality requirements were already part of our standard procedures, but the particular requirements of the survey led us internally to improve procedures in other areas, while other changes were made after external requests from the client, and in both these cases the changes made have led to improvements that have been carried through to other surveys.
