The European Survey Research Association has been established to provide coordination in the field of Survey Research in Europe. Through our activities we encourage communication between researchers. Important activities include our biannual conferences on survey research and the publication of a European journal on survey research.

Thursday, January 14. Survey Research Methods (SRM) has just published its latest issue at http://surveymethods.org/. We invite you to review the Table of Contents and articles here.
Thursday, October 1. A Special Issue in SRM on "Methodological and substantive advances applying the Schwartz theory of basic human values" will be published in 2010 with issue number 4 of the journal. It will be edited by (in alphabetical order): Eldad Davidov, Peter Schmidt and Shalom H. Schwartz.
Wednesday, September 23. ESRA President Professor Willem E. Saris was recently awarded the prestigious World Association of Public Opinion Research's (WAPOR) "Helen Dinerman Award" in recognition to his extensive contributions to the fields of public opinion research and development of survey research methods. The importance of this award is evident in the list of persons who have been granted it in previous years, which includes renowned academics such as Juan Linz (1993), Seymour Martin Lipset (1997), Phillip E. Converse (2003), Sidney Verba (2004) or Roger Jowell (2005). Congratulations Willem!
